Curvy Kimora Lee A Mom for Everyone
The plus-size-model-turned-fashion-designer has much to say about the industry, and
it’s neither good nor bad, but far more realistic than most would expect. Curvaceous Kimora Lee is a mother as well
as a fashion icon, and this has made a huge impact on her career. “We need clothes that are fashionable and
functional,” she observes. “We need great basics and accessories. Every mom needs a wonderful extra large leather
tote, for instance.”
The zaftig celebrity has had one book written and published in 2006, Fabulosity: What
It Is and How to Get It, which is a “lifestyle manual” on topics ranging from spirituality to finances to fashion.
In 2007 her own Simmon’s Barbie doll was created. She has introduced into the market a number of perfume labels:
Goddess, Golden Goddess, Seductive Goddess and Baby Phat Fabulosity. She founded the Kimora Lee Simmons Scholarship
Fund which helps academically successful but financially hard-up girls in her alma mater St. Louis, aside from
being an advocate of numerous organizations catering to youth empowerment.
