Plus Size Drew Barrymore Doesn’t Want to Live in Fear of Starvation

In 2007, then plus size Drew Barrymore was appointed Ambassador Against Hunger for the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP). “I love food too much to live in fear or starvation.” Looks like she’s spreading the love this way. She has since donated more than $1 million to the program. At the ceremonies in her honor, she is quoted as saying, “I can’t think of any issue that is more important than working to see that no schoolchild in this world goes hungry.”

Now that she’s lost weight, Drew Barrymore is still plus size… in feeling good about herself! The celebrity has confided that she is constantly battling her weight, and still loves food and wishes she could get away with eating whatever she wants. Not giving in to temptation was hard, but after slimming down she has gained more confidence and pride in her appearance, and this remains the most important thing for her. She sees no need “to go down to size zero” or “to slim down to the super-skinny shape of other movie actresses.”
