Big Beautiful Woman Lakisha Jones Thankful

American Idol graduate Lakisha Jones may soon be out of range for sometime, if not already, what with the birth of her second child from husband financial adviser Larry Davis. Before going on that eventual hiatus, the full-figured singer made sure to launch her latest album, “So Glad I’m Me,” which came out in May 2009. Aside from the title track, the line-up also includes the song “Beautiful Girl” dedicated to her daughter, and “Free,” which celebrates her individuality, and hopefully those of others. She says, “If I touch just one person who can relate to what I’m singing, then I’ve done my job. Music is my ministry.”

It does appear that the celebrity is having a good year. Her first daughter, Brionne and husband Davis are a cozy pair, the little girl calling the other “Dad” even before he and Lakisha were married. The full-figured singer declares, “I may not have won American Idol, but I have won because I'm able to provide a better life for me and my daughter and that's all I've ever wanted."
