Who would believe that the host of reality TV America's Next Top Model, and co-creator of True Beauty, was once plus sized? Tyra Banks was an international ramp model most of her life, but few were ever actually aware that she’d been a plus size at one time in her career.

She is often quoted as saying she’s made millions of dollars with the figure she had, but since hosting her own show, Tyra Banks likes to say that she doesn’t have “to live up to that model standard anymore”. However, after much pressure and criticism for being tied with a show that supposedly solidifies the image of a true model, she has gone back to wearing that slim figure that is the Tyra Banks trademark. No longer plus sized, but still helping women make the most of their natural beauty. She declares, “This is a call to action for all media to join me in promoting healthy body images and be responsible in recognizing that their negative words and photographs have a lasting impact on young women."
